What I take away from MSB and my experience there are the soft skills they taught us. These include the ability to present well, speak up, defend our projects, and crucially, learn to lead and be a leader by empowering our teammates to achieve their best, while also learning to be led by others.
I still remember my first presentation at MSB where I was intimidated by public speaking. By the end of my studies, public speaking and presentation became so natural, and I gained so much confidence in myself!
These skills are priceless because, in the professional world, soft skills are crucial for success and self-assertion. Today, I am the founder of NERRĀ, a US cosmetic brand launched last year, which has achieved incredible success. We've been mentioned in top magazines like Allure, Marie Claire, Elle, The Wall Street Journal, and more. Our products are used and mentioned by celebrities like Kim Kardashian and sought after by major retailers worldwide. All of this is thanks to something I lacked before MSB: discipline. Discipline in respecting deadlines, working hard to succeed, and working smart.
One of the first concepts I learned at MSB was effectiveness and efficiency. Remember these terms and listen carefully to what you're taught. Studying, being attentive in class, and preparing for quizzes, presentations or exams are not punishments but preparations for the real world and professional life. MSB is an excellent institution for preparing you for reality. Pay close attention to your professors; I had the best conversations and received the best advice from my former teachers. I still remember the case studies we had at MSB on the success stories of other brands and their strategies, some of which I replicated for NERRĀ.
So be attentive, speak up, ask many questions, and don't be intimidated. At MSB, no one will judge you because you are there to learn and make mistakes, and it is through mistakes that we learn and become ready to be among the best in the world.
